Incorporating Tariff, Duties, Taxes and Customs Fees Into Pricing

Incorporating Tariff, Duties, Taxes and Customs Fees Into Pricing

Ian Chun |

Update: November 2025 - The US has given an exemption for tea to the 15% tariff, but the standard tariff for flavored green tea that has always existed is not being applied to all shipments if the category code for flavored green tea is used. The generic 6-digit category code for green tea unfortunately defaults to the first specific 10-digit code and that happens to be flavored green tea. We have programmed the non-flavored green tea code into our system: 0902.10.9050 - and so you should not be charged any tariff for green tea at all unless it is flavored.

The United States announced at the end of July that they will be eliminating the $800 de minimis exception for small imports, and charging 15% tariff for all shipments on goods from Japan.

The US has some 4 million shipments coming in daily that will be affected, and we expect significant chaos as couriers like DHL, FedEx and UPS attempt to collect those tariffs and customs processing fees from recipients.

To avoid shipment delays, we plan to incorporate tariffs and fees into our pricing, and arrange for payment through our system.

If this arrangement works well with the USA, we may expand it to other countries.

This situation may change at any time, so return here for the latest update.

If you are a retail customer, all fees are included in the final price at checkout with a separate line item for duties (tariffs). The shipping estimate however only shows shipping fees.

yunomi-jp.pro Staff,

Does that mean when I calculate shipping all fee’s are included in the shipping estimate?

Thx
