Haruo Ogose, a tea farmer in Shizuoka who cultivates tea without use of fertilizers or pesticides, sent us these photos of his tea fields on April 21st. The first flush tea leaves will be made into sencha green tea, hojicha roasted green tea, and the pre-finished tea (aracha, or tea leaves prior to removal of stems and tea fannings) will also be sold.
