Matcha "Hoshino Midori"

"Hoshi no Midori" is a matcha made from the Okumidori cultivar grown in Hoshino Village, Yame, Fukuoka.

Hoshino Village is a mountainous tea-growing area known for its clear air and natural surroundings. The tea used for this matcha is grown at an elevation of approximately 380 meters, where the tea fields are surrounded by morning mist and the cool mountain environment.

The harvested leaves are processed into tencha and carefully stone-ground into a fine matcha powder. The result is a beautiful green matcha with a smooth, refined character, gentle sweetness, and relatively little bitterness.

Its approachable flavor makes it suitable for both newcomers to matcha and experienced matcha drinkers. It can also be enjoyed in lattes and used for baking, but we recommend first trying it as a traditional bowl of whisked matcha to appreciate the clean aroma and umami of the Okumidori cultivar.
