The Oyaizu Tea Factory was established in 1949 in Shizuoka as a wholesaler and became a refiner of tea in 1962 focused mainly on refining and selling tea from the Honyama and Kawane areas of Shizuoka. Today, the 3rd generation company president Takayuki Oyaizu.
The company has three refinement factories and have obtained the following certifications: ISO9002, ISO9001, FSSC22000 (the strictest food safety certification), Halal, and are also certified to package JAS organic products.
Oyaizu Tea uses machine ceramic bead pulverization with cooling units to create a quality grinding that is indistinguishable from traditional stone mill grinding but at much higher production capacity.
