Shumpo tea shop established in 1979 in Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa Prefecture. Selling Japanese green tea from all over Japan, carefully tasted and selected by the Shumpo's 2nd generation tea master, Takanori Goto.

The Shumpo Tea Shop began as a tea farm in Shizuoka Prefecture a century ago, started by Yoshitaro Goto. His son, Shunichi, moved to Hokkaido Prefecture and continued the tea business there. He had 8 children and 4 of his sons also created tea related businesses. The youngest son, Takeshi Goto (below pictured with his wife), came to Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, and established the Shumpo Tea Shop. The name of Shumpo（春芳）comes from the two names, Mr. Yoshitaro（芳太郎）and Syunichi（春一）.
